When adding a new app into an organization’s communications toolkit, one of the major considerations is time: how much time will adding a new channel into your communications strategy take? The efficacy of texting as a communications channel is well documented - texts have a 98% open rate, and 90% of SMS messages are read within three minutes of delivery. customers frequently see reply rates of 10-20%, dwarfing reply rates for mass emails. In order to see those results, you need to have a tool capable of sending out texts… but is the “juice” of increased and more efficient engagement with supporters worth the “squeeze” of getting started on a new platform?
