Senior Director of Finance

APPLY NOW VIA EMAIL is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join our team. Reporting directly to our COO, you will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in our financial planning, reporting and operations as we continue to scale.

Senior Director of Finance is a fast growing, non-partisan SaaS company offering texting and live chat for political, advocacy, non-profit and commercial entities. We were initially headquartered in Seattle but now embrace a remote-first environment with a distributed team. We are looking for a Senior Director of Finance to take on a leadership role in our financial planning, reporting and operations as we continue to scale.


• 7+ years of experience in finance within one or more high-growth SaaS (or PaaS) organizations

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• Ability to own financial reporting, processes, planning and analysis and budgeting

• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills

• Proactive, solution-oriented approach to all activities

• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with accounting and planning software

• Proficient in GAAP accounting

• Startup mentality - strong appetite for constant learning and never ending challenges, with the ability and interest to seamlessly switch between the weeds and clouds 


• Previous experience with usage-based pricing models

• Ambition to develop and grow your career and team

• MBA or CPA

• Previous experience building and leading a finance team

• Skilled at visualization and presentation to support communication, findings and plans

• Project management skills and ability to manage to deadlines


• Collaborate with the COO and Leadership team to develop and model annual operating plans and projections 

• Partner with sales and operations teams to provide metrics tracking and analytical support

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management

• Enhance chart of accounts for more detailed financial attribution, modeling and analysis

• Work with external tax accountants on federal, state and international reporting and remittance (income, payroll, sales/use, franchise, etc.)

• Assess and improve the financial infrastructure to ensure agility while also creating scalability

• Collaborate on pricing models and scenario modeling 

• Oversee usage-based pricing billing, invoicing and collections

• Help with ad hoc financial projects and develop operational capabilities

• Support future capital raises and/or debt financing
